As we watched the unimaginable devastation from Hurricane Harvey as it struck Texas on August 25th – September 3 unfold on the news, we couldn’t help but wonder if there was more we could do to help. When Keller Williams announced that Mega Camp, an annual conference held at the Austin Convention Center, would become Mega Relief, we were eager to assist with donations, additional sponsorships, and send a team of volunteers. Hundreds of KW agents from the Silicon Valley pitched in to help residents remove debris, demuck their homes and joined thousands of KW agents in mobilizing thousands of clean-up kits and care packages, and lent a hand wherever needed during the time they were there. KW agents made an enormous difference with smiles, comraderie and memories shared.
It has been an honor to support relief efforts directly in the impacted areas of Houston and from the command center in Austin. For our agents, working alongside newly made friends and longtime partners to help those in need has been life changing.
Many thanks to Keller Williams for organizing such an impactful event in such a short period of time. Yet another demonstration that KW truly cares!
