The Silicon Valley business development boom is creating a huge impact on the local real estate market. Space constrictions and building height limitation are regulated in downtown San Jose due to the proximity to the San Jose International Airport. Even with the limitations on height, it’s a bright spot in the middle of Silicon Valley which has led to major tech companies building and expanding their campuses such as Adobe and Google.
With new tech talent eager to relocate to the Silicon Valley, our housing development is on the rise and one of the fastest places we are seeing building is downtown with five new residential high rises in the core of downtown. The 28 story, MIRO Twin Towers located at 167 E. Santa Clara St. will provide 600 new residential units including a variety of single and multi-family options with 1-3 bedroom units, 16 penthouse units and amenities including a roof top pool, fitness center, spa, pet care and concierge service.
Silvery Towers, the largest high rise development in the history of San Jose, broke ground in early 2017 which includes 640 luxury condominiums. These tower rise 228 feet tall at 190 W St. James Street. The Park View Towers include over 220 condominiums, 6 town houses and are located at 252 N. First st. North . The San Pedro Tower #3 is an 18 story project including 312 condos. With quick access to night life, live entertainment, museum’s, shops and restaurants, downtown San Jose is becoming the mecca is has strived to become since it’s revitalization in the late 1980’s. Downtown San Jose will continue to impact the South Bay by opening new labor markets, stimulating and supporting housing and job growth.
Nightlife is abundant in downtown and nowhere has more going on than San Pedro Square.
Live music is always going on along with a great mix of bars, restaurants, and shopping. Check out the events calendar to see the various types of entertainment offered.
Downtown San Jose is also a mass transit hub with the CalTrain/Rod Diridon Station and the San Jose LightRail System available to take you all over the Bay Area and beyond.
